Position Summary
The Division of Institutional Advancement at Jackson State University is accepting applications for its Manager of Gift Processing position.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Required Experience
Three to five (3-5) years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping, data entry, records management, donor relations or advancement services is preferred.
Minimum Required Licenses and/or Certifications
None.
Qualifications
Experience with a relational database (CRM), Raise’s Edge or Banner is preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews, processes, and records gifts into the Raiser’s Edge system ensuring that required documentation package is complete and accurate, and assigns purpose, solicitation codes, and other required information.
- Responds to requests for information regarding gifts, generating queries on constituents, and prepares gift reports from the system as required.
- Provides customer service to alumni and other donor constituencies regarding donor designation, allocation, receipts, and recognition.
- Researches and resolves problems related to transactions and other activities handled by the unit; documents per audit requirements.
- Verifies and ensures acquisition of matching gifts.
- Administers gift acknowledgement process for donors.
- Complies with accounting principles as well as all state and federal laws.
- Follows processes and procedures for compliance with Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA), Payment Card Industry (PCI), Identity Theft procedures, and college policies.
- Complies with legal and professional standards, including IRS substantiation and disclosure regulations matching gift program policies and giving societies.
- Provides assistance for special projects and general office support.
