Description
The Division of Business and Finance at Jackson State University is accepting applications for its Operations Manager position. The Operations Manager will handle complex and multiple tasks professionally and efficiently.
Examples of Duties
Assist with managing all aspects of the procurement process, including but not limited to working with the Central Receiving Department, Accounts Payable, and the Office of Purchasing and Travel.
Work with other university departments to support efficient workflow processes.
Oversee and lead various committees to ensure coordination and operational efficiency.
Assist with managing special projects.
Assist with providing implementation support and supplemental training for various software programs.
Support the Vice President and Associate Vice President with administrative support when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with four or more years of experience in budgeting, accounting, finance, or a related field.
Higher education experience or not-for-profit experience preferred.
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products.
Able to function independently while operating effectively within a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex and multiple tasks professionally and efficiently.
Ability to work under deadlines.
Exhibits a high level of professionalism, leadership, creative problem solving, diplomacy, and the ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
