What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Specialist position at Jackson Thornton?
Our Auburn office is seeking an experienced administrative professional to handle front desk responsibilities and assist with various duties to ensure optimal operations and excellent client service. This individual will be responsible for making a great first impression on visitors and callers; assisting with tax return processing; and ensuring a smooth, accurate delivery of documents left at the front desk for pick up by clients. Another important responsibility of the role will be to assist with operational duties to help everything run smoothly in the office such as ordering supplies, helping to plan events, and ordering food for events and meetings. Though the position primarily assists principals and employees in the Tax line of business, this person will also help with various administrative tasks for those in the Auburn office that work in other lines of business, as needed.
The core hours for this position will be 10:00 – 5:00 Monday through Friday during months outside of “busy season.” Increased hours (preferably 40 hours per week) will be needed during busier times of the year (from February through April, some weeks in September and October, and as needed when someone is out on PTO).

· Calm demeanor and ability to handle multiple interruptions in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to provide excellent service to “internal clients” throughout the firm and external clients in person and by phone
· Experience in a professional services environment preferred (such as public accounting firm, law firm, engineering firm, or bank)
