Pay: $55,000 - $70,000 per year.About Capitol:
Capitol Distributing is the largest convenience wholesale distributor in Idaho. Founded in 1983, Capitol delivers to retailers across the Western United States from its 300,000 square foot distribution center in Caldwell, Idaho.
Schedule: Monday - Friday with 1 required weekend day. Shifts will be 8 hours in duration. Employees will receive two days off per week. This is full time position with occasional overtime.
Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for an Inventory Supervisor to oversee specific and/or multiple areas of our warehouse. This position ensures that distribution operations remain a smooth and efficient process by leading employees and organizing workflows.
Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
Assist and report to Control Manager as needed
Ensure technology equipment and supplies are maintained, charged and ready each day
Prioritize labor between functions
Authority to make changes to the daily schedule of breaks
Strong understanding of all technologies, equipment, and systems used
Assist with troubleshooting, quick fix, or reporting of equipment failures
Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to, with a focus on safety
Conduct formal and informal training for staff
Monitor Key metrics
First point-of-contact for employees regarding general questions and scheduling
Coordinate daily labor schedule changes, answer employee call-ins, review/approve PTO requests, etc.
Assist in conducting Performance Reviews
Addresses and monitors recurring disciplinary issues with employees
Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions: This role is very fast-paced and requires a significant amount of movement to meet role-based deadlines. Individuals in this position should expect to move throughout the facility. The position will require general physical movements such as walking, standing, lifting, bending, twisting, lifting to 50lbs, and reaching. Individuals will also be expected to follow and understand basic instructions/policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. College degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field a plus.
1 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
1 years of experience achieving production or business goals.
Experience working in a large warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility a plus.
Demonstrate leadership, proactive thinking, strategic thinking, and problem solving.
Ability to complete and maintain reports, journals, and schedules.
Ability to build consensus and relationships with employees.
Proficient Technology Skills, including Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
