Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing legal assistance and advocacy for low-income individuals and families. We work to ensure access to justice and fair treatment in the areas of housing, consumer rights, family law and other essential legal services.
JALA seeks a dedicated Florida Bar licensed attorney for its Family and Victim Advocacy Unit located in our Jacksonville office. This is a full-time role. Candidate should have a minimum of 1 to 4 years of practice in marital and family law, including, but not limited to, dissolution of marriage, establishing and modifying child support, paternity, guardianship advocacy, and injunctions for protection. Candidate should also have experience working with victims of domestic violence, including survivors of sexual violence, stalking, dating violence, repeat violence, and cyberstalking. Candidate should be aware of theories of domestic violence and be able to handle clients experiencing trauma. Position may require a holistic representation of victims of violence in a variety of areas such as consumer, housing, employment, and other legal matters.

Salary/Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience. Sign-on bonus.
