Job Summary
As an academic tutor, you will be a passionate and outgoing individual who will positively impact the community by creating a welcoming environment for our students and families. You will motivate and inspire students to learn by creating an engaging, positive, and productive learning environment while establishing a high level of confidence and program value. Tutors will assist in evaluating and tracking the academic progress of each student.
Hours Needed
This is a part-time contractor position with set hours.
Monday- Thursday 4:00 pm– 6:30 pm
Compensation
Pay is based on education and experience
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but not e limited to the following:
Manage and educate students in an individual and group setting
Establish academic goals and milestones with students
Document and communicate progress reports
Provide constructive feedback for students
Qualifications:
Full mastery of subject area; specifically middle and high school math
Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or other related fields
Ability to build rapport with students and parents
Sufficient knowledge of core educational subjects
Excellent verbal communication skills
Experience working with children preferred
CDA or DCF 40 hours preferred
