Job Summary

We are seeking a music instructor to teach students grades 3rd-12th. Candidates should have a degree in music, have extensive musical training or be in college studying music. An ideal candidate is a team player, positive, detail-oriented, has proficient skills in technology, understands music theory, and has experience teaching. The role of the music instructor encompasses a variety of tasks, primarily teaching fundamental principles of music and musicianship skills, such as music theory, technique, basic music notation, and how to apply this knowledge to their instrument. Instructors should be passionate, friendly, and enthusiastic people who enjoy working with youth. Excellent presentation and professionalism are required.

As a music instructor, you will be a passionate and outgoing individual who will positively impact the community by creating a welcoming environment for our students and families. You will motivate and inspire students to learn by creating an engaging, positive, and productive learning environment while establishing a high level of confidence and program value.


Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Technology Club Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with students in grades 8-12, focusing on coding and technology exploration. As the Technology Club Instructor, you will guide students in their coding journey, foster their creativity, and encourage their curiosity in the field of technology. This position requires availability from 4pm to 6pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, with occasional Saturday sessions.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an engaging curriculum for the Technology Club, with a primary focus on coding and programming.
- Facilitate hands-on activities, projects, and discussions that encourage students to explore different coding languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Inspire and empower students to develop their problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and creativity through coding.
- Provide guidance and support to students as they navigate individual and group coding projects, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive club environment that promotes collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect among students.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in coding and technology, incorporating new concepts and tools into club activities when appropriate.
- Collaborate with other instructors and club advisors to organize technology-related events, competitions, and workshops for club members.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your own knowledge and teaching skills.
- Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and guardians to provide updates on club activities, upcoming events, and student progress.
- Ensure the safe and responsible use of technology resources within the club, and maintain an organized and welcoming club space.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience working as a technology instructor or leading a technology-focused club.
- Strong knowledge of coding languages and frameworks, such as Python, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and inspire students.
- Passion for technology and coding, and the ability to ignite that passion in students.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to plan and execute club activities effectively.
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive club environment.
- Flexibility to occasionally work on Saturdays for special events or competitions.

Working Hours:
- Mondays and Wednesdays: 4pm-6pm
- Occasional Saturdays
