What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concourse Supervisor position at Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp?
The Concourse Lead is a dynamic position that assists the Manager of Food and Beverage by supervising an area of the concourse/stadium, overseeing multiple concession stands, portables, and bars. This person is knowledgeable about opening and closing procedures, determining par levels, cleanliness and sanitation, food quality and presentation, alcohol guidelines, inventory management, and a general knowledge of cooking/frying. Additional knowledge specific to bars and bartenders is a plus, including counting liquor for inventory, making drinks, and other related tasks. The ideal candidate has experience in both the back and front of house of a chain, restaurant, concession stand, or food outlet. They have a Food Handler certificate or card and know the health code standards in terms of hot holding, food temperatures, employee hygiene, and more.
Along with the 75 home baseball games, the Concourse Lead position has the opportunity to work off-week and off-season events, such as movie nights, special events, and non-Jumbo Shrimp baseball games. This is an excellent opportunity to learn several aspects of a food and beverage operation.
