Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with orthopedic physicians and physician assistants to provide patient care and address their needs.
- Perform various clerical tasks, such as completing forms and charting.
- Review physician schedules and prepare charts for test results.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure timely appointments.
- Assist patients during exams, collect medical history, and conduct screenings according to physician guidelines.
- Record patients' medical information, vital statistics, and test results in medical records.
- Answer patient phone calls and provide instructions as directed by the physician.
- Document phone calls and prescription refills.
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms, adhering to infection control guidelines.
- Follow bio-hazardous waste standards and universal precautions when assisting with patient care.
- Ensure confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA).
- Current CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an orthopedic setting.
- Proficiency in triaging patient care issues and working efficiently in a fast-paced clinic.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency.

Physical Demands:
