Custodial Maintenance III Job Description:
This position is responsible for performing various housekeeping duties in Jacksonville State University's facilities. The successful candidate will be able to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and operate specialized equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping duties, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing
• Transports equipment, supplies, and materials to different locations on campus
• Operates specialized equipment, such as buffers, vacuums, and pesticide sprayers
• Demonstrates excellent safety practices and follows established protocols for hazardous materials handling
• Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and maintain a positive work environment
Requirements and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
• At least 6 months of experience in custodial or related field
• Possession of valid driver's license and ability to operate university vehicles
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
