Position Overview:
We are seeking a Production and Warehousing Assistant Manager to play a key role in the daily operations of our printing and shipping departments. This mid-level role offers the opportunity to grow into a key position within our organization. The ideal candidate should possess strong warehouse experience, good computer skills, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate versatility. Additionally, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Production:
- Operate various printing processes, including dye sublimation, direct-to-garment, and UV printing to produce high-quality products.
Shipping & Order Fulfillment:
- Pull orders for outgoing shipments.
- Stage orders and prepare necessary shipping documentation (e.g., work orders, packing lists).
- Pack orders for parcel or LTL shipments and process shipments using ShipStation, UPS, or via coordination with freight brokers.
Stock Replenishment:
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, and vans.
- Place received materials in proper storage locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate replenishment of products in designated storage areas.
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory records.
Documentation & Data Management:
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management/Resource Planning systems.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, replenishments, and inventory adjustments.
- Record production data and generate order paperwork.
- Log and analyze process data to support optimization and troubleshooting.
Warehouse Organization:
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring proper storage and labeling of products.
- Optimize storage space for efficient operations.
Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks to transport and store merchandise
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- 2 years of warehouse experience.
- 2 years of inventory management experience.
- 2 years of experience operating a pallet jack and forklift.
- 2 years of experience with web-based shipping systems for parcel and freight shipping (e.g., ShipStation, WorldShip, FedEx Online Shipping, UPS Online Shipping).
- 2 years working knowledge of Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel (testing required during interview).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and follow directions effectively.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced team environment with shifting priorities.
- Reliable and able to consistently work a 40-hour week (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM).
Physical & Technical Requirements:
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Physically capable of bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, carrying, handling, manipulating objects, lifting up to 50-60 lbs, and standing/walking for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
- Associate’s degree.
- Experience in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience with digital printing.
Job Schedule & Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Day shift, Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed.
