Van Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and goods, ensuring a high level of customer service while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. This role requires excellent driving skills, a commitment to punctuality, and the ability to assist passengers as needed.

Duties

• Safely operate a van or shuttle vehicle to transport passengers or goods to designated locations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, as well as handling any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Adhere to scheduled routes and timelines while ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, including loading and unloading luggage or equipment.
• Document daily activities, including mileage, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to ensure efficient operations.

Experience

• Previous experience in paratransit, shuttle driving, delivery driving, or commercial driving is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with passengers of all ages.
• Experience in heavy lifting is advantageous for handling luggage or equipment.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required; additional certifications for bus driving or school bus driving are a plus.
• Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial for efficient navigation.
