**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Dance Injury Prevention Specialist to join our team at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. As a key member of our health care team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to dancers, focusing on injury prevention, emergency care, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of dance-related injuries.
**About the Role:**
- Provide on-site coverage for rehearsals, classes, and performances, including emergency response for injuries.
- Conduct pre-participation screenings to assess injury risk and develop individualized prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and strength & conditioning specialists for holistic dancer care.
- Educate dancers and faculty on injury prevention, nutrition, biomechanics, and self-care.
- Maintain accurate medical records of assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation plans.
- Oversee rehabilitation programs to ensure a safe return to dance activities.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Dance Medicine, Sports Medicine, or a related field.
- Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in Massachusetts.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Experience working with dancers or performing artists in injury prevention and rehabilitation.
