The J Resort is a full-service hotel-casino with over 500 rooms and wide variety of Slots and Table Games. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to promote golf sales and banquets at both properties
- Meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals for golf group bookings at both properties
- Must be thoroughly familiar with amenities at both properties
- Must be knowledgeable of all regional golf courses and establish professional relationships with the management teams, especially the sales managers, at these locations
- Work with third party golf sales companies focused on the Reno and Carson markets to increase the golf business at both properties
- Host Golf Familiarization (Fam) Events with new and current golf group leaders at both properties
- Stay in contact with golf group leaders throughout their stay and handle any issues that may arise
- Have the ability to work all shifts
- Conduct on-site property visits and must have the ability to travel out of state for site visits, attend trade shows, and participate in networking events representing both properties
- Ensure smooth and efficient collaboration and communication with all appropriate operating and marketing departments at both properties
- Maintain all golf contact records in the hotel property management system at both properties
- Travel to regional golf courses for regular site visits
- Prepare and present regional sales performance updates to senior management
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
- Must be fluent in English
- Must have strong guest service, communication, and proven decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer skills mandatory
- Ability to work autonomously and function independently (within JEI / GDW parameters)
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality or related field is preferred, but work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Ability to network and develop strong relationships
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality
- Minimum of 2 years Hotel or Golf Sales experience
- Ability to play golf with clients preferred
- Public speaking/microphone voice preferred
- Nevada Gaming License required
- Identification that establishes identity
