Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for patrolling assigned outdoor areas to ensure safety and protection of guests, employees and company property
- Patrols assigned parking lots and all levels of parking garage
- Ability to Patrol on foot, bicycle, vehicle, golf cart or any other designated and approved transportation method
- Prepares logs or reports as required for the assigned post, writes, to include type, reports on a computer using standard acceptable verbiage
- Testify in court as necessary
- Work various shifts and hours as assigned to include Events at the Glow Plaza or elsewhere on the properties
- Maintain high visibility of the premises to detect any type of criminal activity
- Patrols assigned JEI and other requested properties
- Patrols vacant and occupied dwelling units of JEI properties
- Provide and assist with Security functions at any JEI outdoor events
- Provide escorts, directing of traffic and screening of patrons entering events
- Respond to emergencies in an orderly and timely manner utilizing proper training and following all JEI SOP’s
- Examines doors, windows, gates, etc. from outside to ensure that they are secure
- Enforces company policies and laws pertaining to trespassing as they pertain to guest and employee conduct on premises
- Is comfortable with having to potentially physically detain an individual within company policy and applicable laws
- Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to company management, life/safety personnel, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances as required at each post or location
- Documents infractions and advises management where appropriate
- Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, unlocked security doors, unwanted persons etc.
- Responds to all outdoor emergencies such as fire, injuries, property damage, etc.
- Investigates and completes reports concerning the same
- During serious emergencies, may be assigned to assist in the evacuation of company property
- Responds to requests for medical assistance when required and renders first responder type first aid consistent with company policy and the individual officer’s skill level and medical certification
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma and/or Equivalent Work Experience
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid and AED certifications
- Preferred former Law Enforcement experience
- Ability to communicate proficiently verbally and written documentation
- Report Writing experience, specific to events pertaining to criminal activity and potential civil liability
- Ability to obtain Nevada Gaming registration card
- Valid Nevada Driver’s License
- Obtain Alcohol Awareness card
- Identification that establishes identity
- Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
