Position Overview:
Jacobs Group General Contractors is seeking a highly organized, experienced, and proactive Construction Superintendent to oversee daily operations on commercial construction sites. The ideal candidate will lead onsite activities to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence while maintaining strong communication with project managers, subcontractors, and field crews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day field operations, including workforce coordination, safety enforcement, and quality control
- Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
- Maintain job site documentation, including daily logs, safety records, and inspections
- Schedule and lead onsite meetings; communicate updates and issues to project managers
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards
- Ensure all phases of construction are completed on time and within budget
- Resolve field issues and proactively mitigate risks or delays
Qualifications:
- 5 years of commercial construction experience, with 2 years in a superintendent role preferred
- Strong understanding of construction documents, schedules, codes, and safety regulations
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, or equivalent)
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license
