Description of Duties :
The Configuration Management Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will :
- Be responsible for the implementation of contract-wide management of CM processes, process improvements, and integration of Change & Configuration Management.
- Be responsible for performing audits of task order CM programs.
- Conduct gap analysis of CM processes and analyze audit findings.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of the CM items in the program backlog.
- Provide daily / frequent updates to assigned work following the team’s task management approach.
- Assist with development of audit process for task order CM programs.
- Assist with development of audit metrics.
- Report audit findings / metrics to team leadership.
- Provide guidance, governance and apply best industry standards to ensure CM rigor and the compliance of Enterprise.
- CM processes in accordance with the EIA-649C Industry Standard for Configuration Management.
- Identify challenges, create strategies, metrics and courses of action and execute them for a more mature and robust CM program for our customers and the MDA mission.
- Development and implementation of organizational CM plans, policies, and procedures.
- Provide collaboration, integration and support of all CM teams across the Enterprise.
- Collaborate with fellow Enterprise CM Analysts to refine focus and provide additional support for high priority projects and taskers.
- Synchronize and align CM efforts with Mission Assurance, Quality Assurance, Enterprise Architecture, and Systems Engineering.
- Maintain CM documentation (e.g., Organizational drawings, CM Plan, CM procedures, Standard Operating Procedures) and conduct reviews and updates as necessary.
- Maintain and improve CM training.
- Ensure the identification, status, and closure of action items and lessons learned.
