Your impact
Our Infrastructure team is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team. You’ll assist our engineers, inspectors and project managers in completion of inspection work in accordance with projects and client specifications.
As Construction Inspector, you’ll have the chance to work on transportation projects that focus on bridge and other transportation structures during construction and maintenance alike. We will rely on you to view, measure, report and record the condition of transportation bridges and structures and its individual components. You’ll also be responsible for creating records and provide pictures. You could be working with a team of inspectors and engineers reviewing records, inspecting bridge and structure conditions, and following plans during construction to ensure proper procedures are followed.
This position will be a seasonal assignment based in Washington - Yakima, WA area estimation will be 6-9 months. - Compensation Rate $30-$50 an hour (based on experience) - Overtime Eligible - Per-diem* (meals & lodging provided as necessary) up to 7 days a week based on WSDOT rates (tax free) As a project-specific employee (Seasonal), you are not eligible for severance pay under the Company's Severance Pay Plan and will not be paid severance pay at the termination of your project employment, irrespective of any prior severance-eligible service.

Here's what you'll need
- High School Diploma
- Prior experience in construction administration/inspection
- Familiarity Inspecting bridges, retaining walls, and inspecting reinforcement and steel.
- Solid teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Willing to travel as needed
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.
- Knowledge of construction practices and principles
- 2 years of experience inspecting transportation projects
- Familiar with WSDOT Design and Construction Manuals
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat pdf software
- Experience with Unifier
- WAQTC IPD Certification
- ACI Grade 1 Concrete Testing
