The base salary range for this position is $36,000.00 to $44,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Our Coastal Scientist Interns
- Assist in scientific data collection including wetland vegetation composition and cover, hydrologic (using continuous recorders), and wetland surface elevation and accretion (via RSET/feldspar techniques).
- Work in an effective team environment, learning and taking instruction from mid and senior staff.
- Work on coastal restoration projects requiring heavy physical exertion in a variety of difficult field conditions.
- Work in the field 3-5 days per week with some light construction and shop/equipment maintenance responsibilities.
- Share work experiences in a positive work environment where talents are valued
- Contribute to a company dedicated to sustainable development practices

Here's what you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a natural sciences degree program from a US accredited college or university
- Candidate should be familiar with coastal systems
- Louisiana experience is preferred
- MUST have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to travel.
- MUST be comfortable working in all types of boats
- Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Safety focus required
- Must be capable of heavy physical exertion in a variety of difficult field conditions.
