- Align ITAM and CMDB practices with organizational goals and objectives.
- Establish and enforce policies and procedures for asset and configuration item acquisition, usage, and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of IT assets and configuration items, from procurement to retirement.
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking and documentation of all IT assets and configuration items in the CMDB.
- Maintain and manage the SAM & HAM CMDB to ensure it accurately reflects the current state of the IT environment.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency within the CMDB by implementing robust data governance practices.
- Manage budgets related to IT assets and configuration items, optimizing spending.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making on IT investments.
- Assist in negotiation contracts and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with vendor agreements and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT assets and configuration items, including security and compliance risks.
- Implement controls to protect sensitive data and ensure business continuity.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT asset managers and CMDB administrators.
