Jacobs is seeking to strengthen its Americas Bridge Leadership to grow our bridges market, to motivate a team of professionals across the Americas, and to be the engineer of choice for our clients. You will be responsible for assisting our bridge teams position and win work across the Americas as well as serving in the “top box” on a variety of significant and complex bridge projects across North America. In addition to market development you may be required to sign and seal contract documents, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, standards and regulations, and you will be expected to serve as senior Project Manager or Design Manager on select challenging projects. Here's what you'll need
Essential Characteristics
- Renowned bridge expert with significant experience in charge of the design and construction on a variety of complex and long-span bridges including major river crossings
- Substantial years of demonstrated professional experience as Engineer of Record or Lead Engineer in charge of final design and plans, construction support services including construction engineering, independent checking, and value engineering of all types of steel and concrete long-span bridges (cable-stayed, arch, truss, girder, segmental), movable bridges, and major viaducts.
- Proficient with Design/Build, Progressive Design/Build, P3 and CM/GC projects delivery.
- Established professional network with client and contractor community.
- Cutting-edge knowledge in a wide variety of bridge erection techniques
- Has a track record in designing economical, durable, and award-winning signature bridges
- Has the passion to lead people and work collaboratively
