Our team is looking for someone to lead our engineering support for the procurement of new and overhauled rail vehicles as well as projects involving reliability improvement or product upgrades. By joining our team, you’ll have the opportunity to support of procurements for both new and overhauled rail transit vehicles while leading consultant engineering team in support of a major rail vehicle procurement project. You’d manage the interface between consultant team and client, and also the interface between the carbuilder and the client / consultant team. You’ll provide Engineering and PM support in preparation of technical specifications for functional / sub system / testing / maintenance & training requirements for rail vehicle or subsystem procurements or overhauls. We’ll ask you to perform technical reviews of vehicle and subsystem design for transit and railroad fleets as well as HVAC systems, analyze requirements, and prepare review comments for disposition of Contract Deliverables. You’d perform oversight and witnessing of factory testing of vehicles and subsystems prior to approval for shipment; log discrepancies and prepare reports for status of system testing. Also, you’ll provide systems integration guidance and oversight on behalf of clients Monitor field implementation and testing activities for a range of rail vehicles. You’ll support System integration of vehicle subsystems and complete vehicles from different suppliers for compatibility and functional performance. We’d look to your forward thinking to assess performance and specification compliance for vehicles and subsystems. - Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree
- Professional Substantial years of design / application / oversight experience in the transit industry on rail vehicle projects
- Experience in rail vehicle fleet engineering, all stages of a vehicle fleet procurement program from specification development through commissioning, maintenance, and operation
- Knowledge of FTA and FRA requirements and experience interfacing effectively with clients and manufacturersIdeally, You’ll Also Have :
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Experience in Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Trace or other design software is desirable.
