Your impact
We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Project Manager (PM) who will leverage relationships to build strategic business partnerships to deliver and sell high-profile projects with key municipal clients in South Florida. As a Senior PM, you will need to understand client organizations and processes, develop and maintain consistent relationships at all organizational levels, and work to ensure that Jacobs is the consultant-of-choice for our clients. Concurrently, working with members of our sales team, your focus is to make sure that Jacobs is seen as your client’s best advocate for accomplishing their goals. You’ll also ensure that Jacobs thoroughly understands the client’s needs from their perspective—the client’s challenges and aspirations.

- Lead with innovation and expertise, guiding multidisciplinary teams through the intricacies of project lifecycle management, ensuring every initiative meets its designated targets for scope, schedule, budget, and beyond
- Champion excellence and client satisfaction, delivering projects that not only meet but exceed expectations, all while adhering to Jacobs' stringent standards for health, safety, quality, and risk management
- Ignite growth and opportunity, leveraging your strategic insight to secure new contracts through compelling proposals, engaging presentations, and effective negotiations, all founded on deep market understanding and client needs
- Contribute to the development of a Florida Market Action Plan that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients while also actively diversifying and expanding our client base.
- Demonstrate leadership by example with integrity and candor and by “living inclusion” in support of a work environment that celebrates inclusion and diversity (a culture we call TogetherBeyond℠).
- Lead the development, maintenance, and advancement of your client's relationship. This will include developing the strategy of the account, help determine which opportunities to pursue, own the Go/No-Go process, and influence the win strategy
- Lead a multiple-disciplinary team in delivering projects that exceed client expectations while managing the budget and meeting gross margin goals
- Driving growth with your client, working closely with the project team for overall client satisfaction from client relationship through final project delivery
- Leading key pursuit activities during opening, middle, and end game, working closely with sales operations
- Building relationships with your client through face-to-face meetings and participating in professional events
- Leading internal coordination through working directly with the sales team on overall client strategy, with Operations for project delivery, and coordination on pursuits with sales operations (cost, risk), and with legal regarding contracting
- Obtaining and distilling feedback and other indicators that may influence middle game actions.
Here's what you'll need
- B.S. or M.S. degree in related engineering or applicable discipline
- 15 years of progressively responsible Project Management experience with Water/Wastewater Treatment and Conveyance projects and municipal consulting
- Florida-registered Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics, and a proven history of leading project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations
- Attributes that include good oral and written communication, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem-solving, and a strong organizational approach
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work
- Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams
