Your impact
At Jacobs, we don’t settle – always looking beyond to raise the bar and deliver with excellence. As an Employee Relations Consultant, you are integral to maintaining and fostering a safe, productive, respectful and inclusive Jacobs work environment.
As a Senior Employee Relations Investigator, you will work in a dynamic environment with multiple time-sensitive priorities. You will primarily handle investigations of employee relations- and compliance-related complaints (such as harassment, discrimination, retaliation, unfair labor practices, etc.). This responsibility includes formulating plans, processes, and timetables to conduct an accurate, complete and thorough investigation within a specified timeframe; identifying, gathering, and preserving relevant evidence; conducting and documenting witness interviews; and thoroughly documenting investigations and preparing comprehensive, accurate, and factual reports for review by leadership. Additionally, in consultation with Human Resources, you will take an active role in performance management, preparing corrective action documents, performance improvement plans, and delivery of employee conversations. This position is US location flexible (remote or hybrid).
In the Employee Relations Investigator role, you will further be expected to identify areas for policy improvement and recommend programs, strategies and other collaborative activities to prevent discrimination and harassment from occurring at Jacobs in the US and Canada. You will also review and monitor cases to identify trends, potential risk areas and development opportunities. Using this information, you will work collaboratively with Human Resources to bring cases to resolution and implement training and coaching to improve manager and employee performance and engagement.
Your keen ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and tackle challenges will allow you to thrive in our fast-paced environment. Working together, we’ll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future – big and small, global, and local.
We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.
