We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Environmental Characterization/Remediation Field Geologist to oversee complex fieldwork projects for both government and private-sector clients. You’ll apply your extensive technical experience in environmental site characterization and remediation to develop strategies and work plans while championing safety, quality, and the well-being of your team.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects throughout the country. You’ll collaboratively manage project teams that include junior field staff, senior technical consultants, and technical subject matter experts, with support from Jacobs internal management, to deliver environmental projects with a strong focus and emphasis on site characterization and remediation fieldwork.

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or closely related technical degree
- Professional experience conducting site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, remedial actions, and optimizing remediation systems
- Experience in identifying and resolving key issues impacting site characterization and remediation fieldwork (technical, regulatory, risk, land use, etc.) and emerging issues
- Professional Geologist (P.G.) or ability to obtain and maintain
- Experience representing clients to stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, property owners, government officials, and other consultants
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with contractors, team members, regulatory agencies, and clients
