Jacobs is seeking a Water/Wastewater Lead Mechanic to work at our wastewater facility located in Prescott Valley, AZ. You’ll work with project staff to ensure that daily maintenance activities are carried out, as well as utilize maintenance systems and tools to provide superior client service and help to ensure timely completion of all maintenance activities. You’ll also assist with all preventative and corrective maintenance for the system; coordinate personnel and other resources required in the maintenance and repair of water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Here's what you'll need
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 to 6 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment
- Experience in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) systems
- Experience with Planning, Scheduling and Inventory Control
- Experience working on pumps, motors and equipment, and experience using tools and materials used in maintaining and repairing equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
- ADEQ Grade 1 Water Distribution and Grade 1 Wastewater Collections certification or the ability to acquire in a year.
- Class A CDL license or the ability to acquire in a year.
- Possess experience coordinating maintenance activities with operational needs and evaluating maintenance policies and objectives
- Perform skilled mechanical repair work on water and wastewater treatment plant engines, pumps, and other equipment
- Diagnose malfunctions and determine effective courses of action for correcting them
- Support assets review and condition assessment efforts
- Gain necessary system knowledge to develop and update thorough capital improvement plans
- Perform heavy manual labor when needed
- Keep records and assist in preparing routine and special reports
- Maintain equipment in sewage treatment plant bar screening, grit handling systems, primary and secondary clarifiers, UV disinfection, aeration basins and blowers, belt filter presses, polymer mix systems, associated pumps (positive displacement, centrifugal, chemical, metering)
- Help coordinate work plans and maintenance activities to meet Asset Management priorities
- Help develop, implement, and enforce compliance and safety regulations and procedures
- Help provide training to less experienced employees
