Jacobus Energy, Inc. is a family-owned company, providing quality petroleum products and innovative fueling services for over 100 years. As one of the largest fleet fueling operations in the country, we provide fuel and related services to businesses nationwide. We are currently seeking a Customer Care/Collection Specialist at our corporate facility in Milwaukee, WI.
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Customer Care/Collections Specialist is a critical link to strong communications and sales support between our customer and the company. The Customer Care/Collection Specialist will provide a superior customer experience at all times for all lines of business in a timely, accurate and professional manner. The Customer Care/Collection Specialist will become the single point of contact for the internal and external customer from initial contact through final resolution.
Required Skills
· Effectively work with customers on challenging situations, managing and owning the issue to provide an amicable resolution.
· Acquires and maintains an understanding on the products and services provided.
· Documents all customer interactions in appropriate software systems.
· Provides complete, accurate and helpful information taking appropriate actions with regards to resolving customer complaints, billing issues, delinquent accounts, and other necessary areas as trained;
· Acts on behalf of customers (a liaison) with the appropriate internal and/or external resources to address the customers’ need.
· Conduct analysis to determine root cause of an issue recommending process changes to improve the customer experience through all interactions both internal and external.
· Answer all incoming phone calls from customers regarding their accounts, assisting them with answers to questions and/or resolving account problems within 24 to 48 hours including processing orders, updating units etc.
· Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts, while Putting the Customer at the Center of it All.
· Strong research skills for complex issues involving but not limited to accounts receivable posting of payments, billing issues, unit issues etc.
· Proactively initiate and provide assistance to customers on the features of the customer portal.
· Partner with Sales Representatives to meet and exceed customers’ expectations.
· Update and maintain accurate customer account profile.
· Work cross-functionally with Team Leads and support departments to resolve operational issues.
· Ability to work from an office environment as required for training, meetings, etc.
· Ability to work independently from a remote environment if applicable.
· Other duties as assigned due to business needs.
Required Experience
· Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business or 5 years’ experience in customer service and collection environment.
· Ability to research and resolve complex issues utilizing information from multiple sources.
· Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
· Possess strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate necessary information positively and professionally to internal and external customers in a timely manner.
· Experience in JD Edwards, Siebel, and/or Ortech systems preferred but not required
· Requires the ability to present a professional image and to encourage others to do the same
· Requires strong teamwork and flexibility to accomplish goals and department deadlines
· Requires knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Products and ERP/CRM software.
· Requires knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of standard office equipment such as a 10-key calculator, telephone, and computer.
