Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics and Trade Compliance Manager to oversee and optimize our company's logistics operations while ensuring strict adherence to trade compliance regulations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international trade, logistics management, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Management:

Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to streamline the movement of goods and materials.

Monitor and optimize supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.

Negotiate and manage contracts with logistics service providers.

Ensure timely delivery of products to customers while maintaining high service levels.

Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize shipping routes and reduce transportation costs

Trade Compliance:

Stay current with international trade laws and regulations, including import/export regulations, customs requirements, and trade sanctions.

Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure the company's adherence to trade regulations.

Identify regulatory compliance needs for existing and new product categories: CE, UK/CA, Prop 65, ect…

Identify and mitigate trade compliance risks associated with import/export shipments, such as screening, recordkeeping, product classification, country of origin, and valuation

Consult on best practices for sourcing, shipping, and tariff mitigation as required

Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify and rectify potential issues.

Manage import/export documentation, including customs declarations, licenses, and permits.

Collaborate with customs brokers and government agencies to resolve compliance issues.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess potential risks related to international trade and logistics operations.

Implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

Ensure proper insurance coverage for cargo and shipments.

Cost Control:

Monitor logistics and compliance-related expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Reporting and Analysis:

Generate and analyze reports related to logistics performance, compliance metrics, and cost savings.

Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management and trade compliance.

In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in logistics and compliance software and tools.
