We have an exciting opportunity for a Truck Driver/Utility position at our Racine, WI facility.
Driver Job Summary:
We are looking for a driver to operate a flat bed truck to transport material for our company. As a driver, you must have a safe driving record, follow all state and national driving laws, rules, and regulations. In this position, you will spend 60% of your time in the driver role and the remaining 40% in the shop in the capacity of Utility worker. This position is Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed.
Position Reports to: Shipping Supervisor
Pay: Hourly (Non-Exempt), eligible for Overtime on hours worked over 40 per week.
Driver Duties and Responsibilities
- Practice safe driving habits, obey all traffic laws
- Follow all state and national safety regulations and standards
- Plan efficient routes, read maps, follow GPS
- Accurately follow routes, maps, and directions
- Properly load and unload material
- Inspect trailer before and after each delivery
- Keep exterior of vehicle clean and presentable
- Maintain equipment; replace oil, fill gas tank, perform general motor vehicle maintenance as needed for safety
- Manage all maintenance records
- Clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed
- Keep interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter
- Complete documentation such as logs, mileage, and expenses
- Document amount and type of material being delivered
- Follow schedules and rerouting in a timely manner when faced with traffic or congestion
- Report any incidents/accidents immediately to supervisor
- Perform other tasks as directed by management

Minimum requirements
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (**CDL NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION**)
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
- Physically able to lift and carry object up from 30 to 50 pounds
- Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and sit for long periods of time during daily routine
- Previous experience driving
