About Us: Jac’s is a leading provider of high-quality residential construction services, dedicated to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Residential Construction Assistant to join our dynamic team.
Job Overview: The Residential Construction assistant will be expected to have the ability to do light plumbing. Carpentry, and Basic Electrical work. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction processes, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tradesman: Work with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other construction tasks. Perform various tasks including but not limited to site preparation, material handling, and installation.
- Site Preparation: Help with setting up sites, including site cleanup, organizing tools and materials, and setting up dust prevention and keeping site clean.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools. Ensure that all materials are stored properly and that the site is well organized.
Qualifications:
- Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction or related field. Experience working in residential construction is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, and safety practices.
- Must have your own transportation and hand tools
- Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of construction techniques and building materials. (preferred experience with electrical and plumbing.)
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and at heights.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant vocational training or certifications in construction trades is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
