What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Recovery Specialist position at JADE Wellness Center?
The selected candidate will manage a full-time caseload of CRS/COE clients, providing care management services remotely, in the community, and at any of our three office locations: Monroeville, Wexford, or Southside Pittsburgh. This role will report to the AIMS Program Manager, with performance being supported and tracked to help achieve the agency’s goals. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● Program Retention
● Consistent support and guidance before, during, and after any and all treatment episodes.
● Identify any basic needs of the client.
● Facilitate access to various community resources to ensure basic needs are met, including but not limited to, education, employment, transportation, housing, clothing, food, etc.
● Help individuals to build positive, constructive relationships with family and others.
● Introduce and engage clients in the recovery community.
● Encourage and offer accompaniment (when appropriate) to alcohol and drug free social and recreational activities.
● Let individuals know outside support group options, including programs and available meetings, and accompany them when appropriate.
● Provide ongoing assistance for clients in obtaining and/or maintaining services from multiple systems (e.g. Child Protective Services, criminal justice, etc.)
● Develop collaborative relationships with individuals, groups, professionals, and agencies who wok with various/multiple pathways.
● Offer guidance on the recovery experience, to include stage appropriate recovery education.
● Provide support across multiple religious, spiritual, and secular frameworks.
● Offer support related to obstacles that are often encountered during the early stages of recovery.
● Monitor the client’s recovery stability.
● Employ Client Retention strategies including, but not limited to, follow-up calls, proactive support, use of empathy, being accessible.
● Maintain all necessary service documentation.
● Offer referrals to treatment services when necessary.
● Assist in the development of an individualized Recovery Plan.
● Work with the client’s family, service, and treatment providers, other programs and natural supports to assist in the achievement of the individualized goal stated in the Recovery Plan.
● Provide recovery support by telephone when necessary.
● Operate within an ethical framework that reflects peer and recovery values.
● Honor the cultural practices of all participants and incorporate cultural strengths into the recovery process.
Qualifications
Certified Recovery Specialist certification is preferred,; however, is not a requirement.
