Satellite technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Satellite Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of satellite systems. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications equipment and network installation processes, as well as the ability to work independently in various field environments.

Duties

• Install, configure, and maintain satellite communication systems at customer locations.
• Installation of Satellite TV, Satellite internet, wireless internet, network wiring, the occasional cameras, etc.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of satellite equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize hand tools or testers for testing and diagnosing issues with low voltage systems.
• Manage cabling installations and ensure proper routing for network connectivity.
• Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service and technical support via telephone or telecommunication methods.
• Document all service activities accurately in compliance with company standards.
• Work with routers and other networking hardware to establish reliable connections.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working in the field and maintain a clean work environment.
• Upsell to customers to maximize yours and the companies profit.
• Extra compensation paid for custom work.
• This position is for residential and commercial installations.
• Placing yard signs etc during some routes to generate yourself sales and more potential installations

Requirements

• Proven experience in field service or related technical roles is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of network installation processes and telecommunications systems.
• Proficiency in using tools for equipment testing.
• Familiarity with cabling techniques and low voltage electrical systems.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and efficiently.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as required by the role.
• You will be required to do other jobs such as home wiring, bridges, cameras, switches etc that come in.
• Sales experience preferred, you will have all sorts off opportunities to cross sell products to your customers such as: home security, internet, service call plans etc.
• Must be willing to travel at least 100 miles from your home! Trip fees available for certain jobs over 50 miles from home.
• Must be able to crawl through attics and under homes.
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
• Must have reliable work vehicles that can carry ladders.
• Must have basic tools for the job.
• Must be able to pass a F.B.I background check
• Liability insurance required for this position

Pay: $750.00 - $5,000.00 per week
