This is an 8-24 hours per week position. Combine with floor nurse shifts for full time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This position includes every or every other weekend.
- Assist in directing and supervising the implementation of the resident care plan, including but not limited to: ensuring use of appropriate safety devices, positioning and toileting plans, infection control measures.
- Assist in ensuring adequate staffing for the nursing department by securing and/or providing coversafe for open shifts (Nurse or LNA)
- Admissions - Ensuring room readiness, preparing the unit/team for new admissions, ensure completion of new admist checklist by the assigned nurse or self.
- Point of contact for questions or concern from residents, families, staff, community partners
- Point of contact for clinical on-call and reports to NHA and/or DON
- Compliance monitoring - charting, RMS, PPE/Hand washing, dignity, survey readiness
- Conduct team huddles, provide 1:1 and/or team education, partner with other departments to ensure clinical compliance
Qualifications & Other
- Must be an RN or LPN - we will train a candidate who has shown the ability to learn, who acts with honesty and integrity, promotes a culture of respect and accountability
- Schedule:
- 7a-7p preferred, or 7-3 or 3-11
- Every or every other weekend
- Ability to "float" as the supervisor
- This position is the first coverage for open shifts o nthe assigned supervisors schedule
- If working as the coverage, must have the ability to maintain point of contact and meet other expectations within reason
- Supervisor is not required to cover shifts before or after their scheduled shift.
- Pay commensurate with experience and license
