Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. Candidates must hold a current ASNT VT Level IIcertification and possess substantial NAVSEA shipyard experience. Familiarity with Work Authorization Forms (WAF)and Initial Compartment Inspections (ICI) is highly preferred. Candidates with additional ASNT certifications (PT, MT, UT) will be given strong preference.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual inspections per ASNT VT Level II standards.
- Perform Initial Compartment Inspections (ICI) at the start of drydocking periods.
- Document existing compartment conditions and identify necessary repairs.
- Ensure compliance with NAVSEA and internal quality standards.
- Coordinate and verify WAF documentation and requirements.
Requirements:
- Current ASNT VT Level II Certification (mandatory).
- NAVSEA shipyard experience required.
- Working knowledge of WAF procedures and Initial Compartment Inspections (ICI).
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Additional ASNT certifications in PT (Liquid Penetrant), MT (Magnetic Particle), and UT (Ultrasonic) are extremely preferred.
