About the Role
- We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in hand therapy and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- You will be responsible for performing comprehensive evaluations, assessments, and interventions for patients with post-surgical and non-surgical Upper Extremity diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate custom orthoses for patients with various orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses.
- Collect and record patient care data that follows format and guidelines of the patient care service, regulatory agencies, and third-party payers.
- Prepare for the evaluation in accordance with department policies/procedures and standards of practice including obtaining patient history, exhibiting knowledge of patient diagnoses, and researching unfamiliar diagnoses.
- Select and administer tests and measures.
- Synthesize evaluation results to formulate the diagnosis, goals, prognosis, and plan of care.
