Job Title: Athletic Trainer
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy.
Summary:
The successful candidate will provide athletic training services and administrative tasks to persons and organizations affiliated with JAG Athletic Training outreach sites. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package, including a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and relocation reimbursement up to $2,500.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain an effective athletic training program for the contracted organization
- Provide AT services for athletic events and competition
- Create and maintain a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks
- Coordinate, manage, and implement the medical and risk management of all athletes, inclusive of preventative care, emergency care, and health records
- Act as the workers compensation case manager for the professional contracted team
- Demonstrate speed, efficiency, and flexibility in the provision of care, utilizing effective critical thinking skills
- Document injury, illness, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., in adherence with JAG Athletic Training policy and state of licensure professional practice standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE Approved program) and completion of the BOC certification
- Maintain the BOC-required 50 CEU's per certification period (every two years)
- Licensed by the State of New Jersey as an Athletic Trainer
- NJ Department of Education (DOE) clearance
- Current BLS certification
