Responsibilities:
- Provide athletic trainer services for athletic events and competitions.
- Coordinate, manage, and implement medical and risk management plans for all athletes, including preventative care and emergency response.
- Demonstrate speed, efficiency, and flexibility in providing care, utilizing effective critical thinking skills.
- Document injuries, illnesses, treatments, and rehabilitation plans in accordance with JAG Athletic Training policy, contracted site policy, and state licensure professional practice standards.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and other stakeholders as necessary, adhering to HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.
- Collaborate with other JAG professionals, referring patients to physical therapy and other services as needed.
- Regularly communicate with supervising physicians regarding standard operating procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-approved program.
- Completion of the BOC certification.
- Licensed by the State of New York as an Athletic Trainer.
- Current BLS certification.
- Maintain personal liability insurance.
- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to fluid situations.
Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
