Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company vehicle, such as a delivery van or truck, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Efficiently load, unload, and transport automotive parts to various customer locations, ensuring their integrity and proper handling.
• Plan delivery routes using maps or GPS systems to optimize time and fuel efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring prompt and courteous interactions with customers during deliveries, addressing inquiries or concerns effectively.
• Issue receipts and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Collaborate with the Parts Department team to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle, ensuring it is well-stocked with necessary supplies and parts.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and delivery protocols.
• Continuously strive to improve delivery processes and suggest innovative ideas to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably in an automotive-related environment.
• Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and GPS systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and documenting deliveries.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
• Must be willing to participate in a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

• Light Work – Occasionally exerting up to 25 pounds and standing/walking frequently.
• Environment – Requires occasional exposure to heat, cold, noise, and both inside and outside conditions. Requires the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
•  Must be able to read, write and have repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, legs, arms and feet.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, stretch, etc.
