Jai Medical Center is seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic, and dedicated Assistant Office Manager, who will be responsible for operations of our Primary Care facility, focusing on maintaining efficiency and meeting our established performance and budget metrics. This position is a hands-on role, which requires ongoing and active involvement with team members to provide high quality, compassionate health care to the people of Baltimore, regardless of their ability to pay.
Assistant Office Manager Responsibilities
- Assist with the direction of all daily center operations.
- Monitor, evaluate, train, mentor, and support staff. Provide ongoing leadership and coaching with intensive involvement with staff development.
- Direct and coordinate the flow of patient care, in conjunction with providers and office staff. Assign duties and coordinate daily schedule.
- Plan monthly staff meetings; provide feedback on individual performance, including regular performance evaluations.
- Oversee adherence to organizational policies and protocols throughout Center.
- Assist in the selection and interviewing process to meet Center staffing needs.
- Ensure patient satisfaction, including addressing grievances and developing process improvements to prevent recurrences.
- Audit office books, equipment checks, SuperBills, medical coding, etc.
- Prepare and forward weekly census and billing reports to corporate office.
- Responsible for ensuring HIPAA, OSHA, building cleanliness, and maintenance.
Assistant Office Manager Skills
- Supervisory and leadership experience
- Prioritizing and working with little supervision
- Proven working experience as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Degree/Certificate in medical assistance
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:45am to 6:00pm; weekends as scheduled.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
