Overview
As the FP&A Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping Jaipur Living achieve our ambitious financial goals. You will be responsible for overseeing the monthly and annual financial and budgeting processes, conducting thorough analyses (including monthly variance analyses), and collaborating with key stakeholders to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making. This is a highly visible role requiring the candidate to partner closely with business leads at various levels and drive fiscal responsibility and accountability across the organization. This position requires a proactive, innovative individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and can communicate effectively.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CFO to lead the corporate financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, re-forcasting, planning models and systems, and long-range planning
- Work with all department leaders with P&L responsibility to budget, forecast, analyze and report on key expenses; update forecasts regularly by reviewing with department leaders and evaluating changes to the business, variances to plan and evolving strategy
- Drive key reporting processes, including preparation of monthly and annual financial reporting packages as well as business channel and department P&Ls
- Help grow the Finance organization’s reporting capabilities including cost allocation and segmentation, creating the right data pipelines with cross-functional leaders, and developing insights
- Support the CFO and other business leaders to deliver ad hoc analysis, inclusive of strategic findings and recommendations, to the executive team on the existing core business as well as new initiatives and opportunities
- In close partnership with the CFO, assist with the development and launch of new tools to track KPIs, facilitate reporting, and share information across the company. Automate reporting leveraging BI tools where possible
- Provide support to the Accounting department during the monthly close process, including proper expense timing and coding and adjusting the financial models as needed
- Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the business strategies, issues, and profitability drivers to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risk
- Communicate effectively to all employees from non-finance personnel to executive leadership
Qualifications
Skills & Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 5-7 years of related business experience, with a preference for a background in FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, strategy or consulting with strong financial experience
- Advanced spreadsheet analysis and financial modeling skills are required
- Basic accounting knowledge, including all dynamics between the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement that are critical for 3-statement cash modeling
- Ability to build relationships across an organization and be collaborative and inclusive when working with others – cultural fit is vital for this role
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work
- Experience with financial systems and software, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. Basic SQL/querying and data manipulation skills preferred
- Strong work ethic and prioritization skills; proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment
- Basic project management skills
