About the Position

We’re setting up our Digital & Media operations in the US market and are looking for a Media Director to become one of the leading figures in the US expansion. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial spirit willing to make a difference and to drive the growth of our company. The Media Director will lead strategy, execution, and performance analysis for innovative media campaigns while ensuring alignment with client objectives and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities :

Work with clients to set KPIs for the media services and ensure the account team is delivering against these goals and contractual requirements

Plan, attend and lead client meetings, QBRs and annual reviews

Lead the planning and implementation of innovative Paid Search, Display, Social, Native, Digital Audio and Connected TV campaigns, depending on the clients’ needs and objectives

Provide data-driven strategic input to the Media team and other agency units working on the account, based on the current campaign performance, website analytics, market conditions and the competitive environment

Coordinate teams and colleagues that are servicing the client to ensure timely delivery of high-quality output in line with the contractual scope (these teams could be Creative, Social Media, Data & Analytics, SEO etc., in addition to Media)

Foresee, plan and deliver on opportunities of cross-selling and upselling to increase the revenue flow from the existing clients, while improving the client’s returns and digital experience

Maintain a strong control over the resourcing and profitability of the accounts at all times, being responsible for ensuring the client is not only retained but retained profitably

Be the escalation point for any concerns raised by the internal team or by the client on any media related issue

Review the current operational flows, propose and implement improvements where relevant

Oversee campaign budgets, ensuring financial alignment with client ROI goals and contractual agreements

Measure and report outcomes to clients using KPIs, analytics tools, and performance insights to refine strategies for future campaigns

Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends, incorporating innovative tools and strategies into campaign planning and execution

Qualifications and Requirements :

  • 8-10 years working at an agency level running media activities on large client accounts
  • Strong understanding of media planning and buying principles, as well as knowledge of media landscape, trends, and best practices
  • Excellent skills on Google Analytics both in terms of implementation review and performance analysis with executable insights for performance growth
  • Experience with the ad serving and trafficking tools (e.g. Campaign Manager or Adform)
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools (e.g. Google Data Studio, Tableau or Datorama etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, identify trends, and optimize media campaigns accordingly.
  • Capacity to become a trustworthy reference for the client
  • Solid project management skills to effectively manage multiple campaigns and sizable budgets
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely execution of media plans.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Previous track record with client management, paid media management (both hands-on management, implementation and strategy) and managing / coordinating junior media resources
  • Many of the accounts are Global and as such a second or even a third language would be highly favourable (e.g. Spanish, French, Italian, German, etc.)
  • Experience using collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com) to coordinate complex campaigns across teams
  • Must be able to travel at least 15-25% of the time
