Dog Groomer (1 YR EXP REQ)

Jake’s Dog Walking and Pet Care is , LLC is a bonded and insured professional dog walking and pet care company that offers a variety of services from walking and training to boarding and drop-ins. We have a unique opportunity for an experienced groomer to join our team and provide professional grooming services. Ideally, candidate would be good at working closely with seniors as they would be servicing clients within a senior living community and have full access to their on-site pet spa. This position does not offer training so it is required that you have at least 1 yr of grooming experience. This will be a 2 day/month position. We will require one day of grooming every other week based on demand. There are additional opportunities for compensation via walking and overnight stays. Additionally, you keep 100% of tips from clients.

Qualifications:

• MUST LOVE DOGS!
• Animal handling skills and familiarity with animal behavior
• Knowledge of different breeds and ability to style pets according to breed standard or client preference
• Ability to effectively communicate expectations with client
• Be able to pass a background/reference check
• Must live within close proximity to Brookline
• Ability to commit to the position for at least 6 months
• Dependable, flexible, professional, well-organized, with good time management and interpersonal skills. Must be able to keep the clients as well as the dogs happy!
• Must have a smart phone and be considerate, communicative, and responsive to company texts, calls, and emails
• Experience:
• Relevant: 1 year (Required)

License/Insurance:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Car insurance (Required)

Compensation:

• $37 per hour based on demand
• Extra compensation can be earned via walking, overnight boarding, and pet sitting or training based on qualifications
• You keep 100% of the tips from clients
