The Day Warehouse Manager will also administer and oversee the scheduling of work assignments for all Day Warehouse Team Members. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring all team members are properly trained in safety procedures
- Complete timely accident/incident reports and correct unsafe conditions promptly
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HACCP, FSQA, and other regulatory requirements at local, state, and federal levels
- Conduct routine facility inspections for hazards and take corrective action as needed
- Provide one-on-one coaching, structured training, and mentorship to warehouse team members
- Monitor performance, provide feedback, and develop action plans to address skill gaps
- Partner with leadership to interview, hire, and onboard new warehouse personnel
- Oversee employee productivity, establish goals, and conduct performance evaluations
- Analyze warehouse key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans for improvements
- Ensure accurate receiving, put-away, replenishment, and order fulfillment
- Monitor replenishment to ensure inventory availability and reduce potential for shortages
- Conduct audits to identify and mitigate sources of inventory shrink
- Maintain all warehouse equipment in safe, operational condition; create work orders for necessary repairs
- Ensure all material handling equipment meets regulatory safety requirements
- Oversee compliance with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) for facility cleanliness and sanitation
- Utilize NCR Power Dock to create and manage shift schedules
- Ensure proper staffing levels to meet operational needs
- Direct and supervise daily warehouse workforce to optimize efficiency and service levels
- Compile, reconcile, and submit bi-weekly payroll reports
- Cross-Department Collaboration & Customer Service
- Work closely with Sales and other internal departments to ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Provide best-in-class service by ensuring orders are picked, staged, and loaded with precision
- Investigate and resolve warehouse-related issues impacting internal and external customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years of experience in warehouse distribution required
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience overseeing a workforce required
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with OSHA, HACCP, FSQA, and safety procedures
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data to drive efficiency and cost savings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and scheduling software
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to work in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment including the freezer/cooler
- Occasional travel (up to 10%) for training and mandatory meetings
