Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating various types of cranes and heavy equipment on construction sites. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials, equipment, and personnel throughout the job site.
Duties
- Operate our crane to remove and position heavy trees out of back yards and many areas of yards.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure the crane is in good working condition and report any issues.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate lifts and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain clear communication with ground personnel using hand signals or radio communication during operations.
- Assist in the operation of other heavy equipment such as bulldozers, water trucks, tankers, roll-off trucks, and diggers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while operating machinery on-site.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills in heavy equipment operation and safety practices.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues with cranes and other heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with various types of cranes (e.g., tower cranes, mobile cranes) and their operational capabilities.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of site safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also demonstrating independent decision-making skills.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 70 per week
