Welcome Center Representatives are so much more than greeters! They are key customer service professionals who ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently. This dynamic role involves managing and processing memberships, event sign-ups, and payments, maintaining accurate member information in our system, assisting with marketing and promotional activities, and so much more. Representatives play a crucial role in creating a seamless experience for members while developing valuable skills in customer service, data entry, cash handling, and communication.
In addition to interacting with people in person and over the phone, this position includes responding to emails, organizing paperwork, performing light cleaning duties, and handling various administrative tasks. No two days as a Welcome Center Representative are the same! These employees must follow a variety of procedures and processes to keep JAM Center functioning efficiently. With so many different tasks, procedures, and responsibilities, this role is ideal for someone who loves staying organized, multitasking, and being an essential part of a dynamic team. Important skills like time management, problem-solving, and teamwork are developed, all while delivering exceptional customer service to members and visitors. All training for this role is provided!
We are seeking part-time employees to work at least 12 hours per week, with a required commitment to rotating Saturdays. Our greatest need for coverage is from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on weekdays, though occasional evening shifts (4:00 pm to 8:00 pm) may be available.
Pay Range
$11.00 - $15.00 hourly

Responsibilities
- Greet members in person and on the phone in a professional manner
- Provide information on JAM Center services and programs
- Sell JAM Center memberships and programs
- Register program participants for JAM Center programs, classes, and special events
- Provide tours to prospective customers
- Receive, count, and track transactions
- Assist with member appreciation days
- Assist department supervisors with administrative and clerical tasks
- Perform any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of JAM Center
- Adhere to and facilitate Welcome Center and JAM Center procedures with accuracy
- Participate in all required trainings, initiatives, and meetings
- Maintain all areas to be clean and in a presentable fashion
- Arrange, display, and maintain a positive image in the lobby, front desk area, bulletin boards, and hallways
- Keep all personal certifications up to date
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be eighteen or older
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Past cash handling experience preferred
- Proficient with computers and technology
- CPR certification required within 6 months of hire - training will be provided
- Basic mathematics skills
