Minecraft Java Developer

Jam Studio is seeking a highly skilled and creative Minecraft Java Developer to join our team in crafting custom mods for entertaining and story-driven Minecraft videos on the SSundee YouTube channel (24 million subscribers). Your work will directly contribute to creating engaging content like this video by bringing new and exciting gameplay mechanics, mini-games, and challenges to life.

This is a fully remote, contractor position with competitive compensation based on experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement custom Minecraft Java mods tailored to specific video concepts and gameplay mechanics.

Collaborate with our creative team to turn scripts and ideas into fun, interactive, and bug-free in-game experiences.

Optimize mods for seamless gameplay and entertaining scenarios that engage millions of viewers.

Test, debug, and iterate on mods to ensure stability and quality.

Provide technical support during recording sessions to address any mod-related issues.

Requirements

Strong expertise in Minecraft modding using Minecraft Forge or Fabric.

Proficiency in Java programming and familiarity with Minecraft s codebase.

A portfolio of past Minecraft mods or similar projects that showcase creativity and technical skill.

Experience creating unique gameplay mechanics, items, mobs, and mini-games.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for debugging and optimization.

The ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
