JOB DESCRIPTION

The Facility Coordinator will be primarily focused on ensuring all leagues are seamlessly executed each evening and will be focused on positively expanding the JAM brand across Michigan.
We are currently looking for responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals for JAM!

You will act as the face of JAM and be a key on the ground resource for leagues and programs. Overall, your goals will be to:

• Ensure that existing members receive an exceptional experience.
• Ensure that leagues run smoothly.
• Oversee and manage JAM Sportsplex facility.

Specifically, areas that you will be responsible for include:

• Manage and execute of leagues/events, ensuring all games run smoothly and efficiently.
• Retain of current players with exceptional customer service.
• Oversee daily operations of the JAM Sportsplex, ensuring all facilities are functional, clean, and safe.
• Coordinate facility schedules for various sports leagues, tournaments, practices, and events.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, teams, vendors, and guests.
• Monitor and maintain facility equipment, including, courts, lighting, audio systems etc.
• Supervise maintenance staff and custodial crew to ensure upkeep standards are met.
• Manage and enforce facility rules, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on skills with the ability to perform minor repairs, troubleshoot facility issues, and maintain equipment functionality.
  
• Plan and coordinate facility rentals, ensuring proper setup and teardown for each rental group.
• Handle customer service issues and respond to inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with marketing staff to promote facility programs and increase community engagement.
• Assist in budget planning and cost control for facility operations and supplies.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Train new staff working within the facility.
• Deal with league issues and venue cancellations (refunds, rescheduling, communication)
• Assist with other operational and customer experience tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Outstanding and energetic personality, keen to learn and help JAM grow.
• University or College degree in Business, Sales or Sports Management is an asset.
• Ability to think quickly on your feet and work well with a team.
• Ability to adapt to change and experience working in an entrepreneurial organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot facility issues and complete minor repairs and maintenance.
• Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle.

EXPECTED HOURS & REMOTE WORK

• You will be working 40 hours per week.
• You day to day hours will be 10:00am-6:00pm some days and 1:00-9:00pm other days. Schedules can be flexible and will depend on the time of year (i.e. season start up).
• You will be required to work primarily onsite at JAM Sportsplex (located at 3125 28th St. Grandville, MI) and when working in the evenings you will be required to be on-site checking in on JAM league games at various venues throughout Grand Rapids.

COMPENSATION

• $38,000-$42,000 USD annual salary to start.
• 10 Vacation Days and 10 Personal Days to start.
• Eligible to join our health benefit plan after 3 months of employment.
• GO PLAY Days during the summer months.
• Complimentary league play (we practice what we preach).
