Veterinary Assistant

Jamacha Pet Vets is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our outstanding team! We take pride in our wonderful hospital, where compassionate care and teamwork create an exceptional environment for both our patients and staff.

Our care team plays a crucial role in delivering top-tier patient care during appointments by coordinating and executing treatment plans while providing thorough client education. In this role, you will:

• Assist during exams and outpatient care
• Maintain detailed medical records
• Review treatment plans and address client questions
• Work closely with your team to manage the veterinarian’s orders

This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

Full-time benefits and compensation:

• Compensation: $18-22/hour, based on experience and skillset
• Bonus package: $500 for those with 3 years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skillset:

• 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Basic restraint
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • client communication/education
