What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Registered Central Sterile Technicians position at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center?
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center located in Queens, NY seeks experienced Certified Registered Central Sterile Technicians for immediate full-time (37.5 hours/ week) employment opportunities in our Central Sterile Supply department. Our ideal candidate will have minimum 1-2 years’ previous hands on experience in medical equipment sterilization and sterile processing. Newly certified technicians strongly encouraged to apply.
Shift: All Shifts
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Sterilizing, cleaning, processing and assembling, surgical instruments and equipment.
- Inspecting tools and equipment for damages.
- Processing, packaging, and storing, sterilized tools.
- Maintaining and distributing sterilized tools and equipment.
Requirements:
- Must have High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- Possess Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Certificate
- One to Two years’ experience in instrument processing
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
