Position Overview :
The Benefits Specialist position will be responsible for supporting the benefits function by analyzing data, reviewing medical coverage eligibility and benefits information, preparing reports and supporting the benefits function within the organization. The Benefits Specialist will work closely with other departments to ensure that information is accurate and data is being collected in a timely manner. The Benefits Specialist will also be responsible for supporting the benefits function by administering employee benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability and 401K.
Responsibilities :
- Review data to determine eligibility and benefits information for new hires
- Review medical coverage information for new hires to determine eligibility and benefits information for existing employees
- Process employee benefit plans including medical, dental, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability and 401K.
- Create reports on data analysis results for senior leadership
- Support the benefits function by administering employee benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability and 401K.
- Work with other departments to ensure that information is accurate and data is being collected in a timely manner.
- Provide administrative support for the Benefits Department including answering phones and assisting in daily operations.
- Work closely with the Benefits team in the creation, implementation and distribution of benefit-related materials and communications
- Other duties as assigned.
